Idyllic village setting, engaging live music nights, charming decor with historical elements
Cleanliness is an issue!!! Staircase is greasy, and room carpets are outdated!!! The bathroom leaves much to be desired, definitely not in line with expectations!!! Noise from the pub could impact sleep quality!!!

the crown aldbourne is such a charm with friendly staff who made us feel welcome. the food was delish and we loved the traditional full english breakfast! the village is so pretty and clean, perfect for a stroll. nice pub atmosphere and we had a fantastic dinner at the restaurant. the room was cozy and just right for a family stay, totally fit the bill!
however, the parking was a bit tricky due to the carnival that weekend, which was a hassle. also, we got a room that looked kinda outdated compared to the photos on the website.

charming but could improve comfort
The historic charm of the building added to the delightful ambiance of my stay. The staff stood out for their attentiveness, ensuring I felt welcome throughout my visit.
The bed, while comfortable, lacked the firmness I typically prefer for a good night’s sleep.

I stayed in a Twin Room for one night. The room was clean and had all the basic facilities, which was nice. the mattress was a bit uncomfortable and made it hard to get a good night's sleep. The carpets in the hallway looked pretty dirty, which didn’t give me the best impression right away. It's a decent spot but could really use some updates and better upkeep in the room area.
